Les différents bouleversements politiques et sociaux en Iran, depuis le « Mouvement Vert » jusqu’à ceux d’aujourd’hui, ont finalement convaincu la réalisatrice à aller à la recherche des traces de la civilisation perse ancienne. Un pèlerinage qui pourrait apporter un changement, ou du moins avoir un impact sur la situation actuelle du pays.

Golchehr Damghani
Née à Téhéran en 1975, Golchehr Damghani a commencé à étudier le théâtre à l'université de Téhéran à l'âge de 17 ans, tout en travaillant en tant qu'actrice et dramaturge sur scène et à la radio.
En 2003, elle part pour la France, où elle obtient un diplôme en cinéma et un master en esthétique du cinéma à l'université de la Sorbonne, à Paris. Elle travaille ensuite comme actrice, chanteuse, assistante à la mise en scène et conceptrice d'éclairages. Elle a écrit sa première pièce en français, Breakfast by the Deathbed/Petit-déjeuner au Chevet de la Mort, en 2011. Depuis son retour en Iran en 2016, elle travaille comme dramaturge et metteur en scène. Journey Of The Green Firewood est son premier long métrage.
Born in Tehran in 1975, Golchehr Damghani started studying theatre at Tehran University at age 17, whilst also working as an actor/playwright on both stage and radio.
In 2003 she left for France, where she obtained a degree in cinema and a master’s in aesthetics from the University of Sorbonne, Paris and then worked as an actor, singer, assistant director and lighting designer. She wrote her first play in French, ‘Breakfast by the Deathbed/Petit-déjeuner au Chevet de la Mort’ in 2011. Since returning to Iran in 2016, she has worked as a playwright and theatrical director. ‘Journey Of The Green Firewood’ is her first feature-length film.
